What a tremendous response! Father, Pat and I have all commented on the incredible generosity of our parishioners. With just a brief announcement after Mass a week ago, you eagerly donated enough school supplies to outfit an entire elementary school! I’m not kidding. Pat packed up 5 pretty good-sized boxes and mailed them on Monday. The shipment came to 71lbs! And we still have 2 more boxes to send!! One box contains more supplies, and another box contains religious themed children’s books.
Imagine the hurt we could’ve put on a UPS driver had we given the parish two weeks to gather materials to send to our Kentucky Mission!
Thanks to all who donated supplies, and just as importantly, to those who donated money for postage.
